One of the questions I get asked most often is, "How do you choose the trips you host?"
The answer is surprisingly simple.
I don't choose them because they're the newest itinerary or because they're the biggest promotion. I choose them because they reflect the way I believe travel should feel.
The best trips I've ever taken weren't the ones where I saw the most. They were the ones where I lingered over lunch, wandered through neighborhoods without a plan, discovered a favorite little café by accident, and came home with stories instead of just photos.

My favorite moments on my recent Ama cruise were watching the towns go by, with a glass of wine or cup of coffee (and a book, of course)-and then disembarking and wandering for hours. With 160 or fewer guests on board, we don't overwhelm the small towns when we dock....so we're able to have a much calmer, more authentic experience.
